Mberengwa - Villagers in Mberengwa are pleading with well-wishers and the donor community for financial assistance to complete Madhekwana Clinic in ward 8 in Mberengwa East constituency.
The project which kicked off in March 29, 2016.
In an interview with TellZim News, Mataruse B1 Ward 8 councillor Marline Shava Ziwewera said they are appealing for funds to complete Madhekwana clinic."The completion of Madhekwana clinic is overdue. We are appealing to the business community and donors to chip in and assist either in cash or kind. Villagers are walking long distances to the nearest clinics and this clinic will be of great help," said Ziwewera.
To show commitment, the community members have managed to raise US$245.00 which is currently in their pocket and is far from being enough to fund the project.
The clinic is now at roof level and the constructions have since stop, owing to the financial constraints.
"We need about US$7 000.00 to complete the project. We owe our contractors US$2000. 00 in cash and this has negatively affected our project since no operations are taking place," said Ziwewera.news
