TellZim Reporter

Zimbabwe People First (ZimPF) top official and former Masvingo Minister for Provincial Affairs Kudakwashe Bhasikiti, who was fired from Zanu PF for aligning with the sacked former Vice President Joice Mujuru, has announced that he has an unfinished business in Mwenezi East.
Bhasikiti was recalled from Parliament where he was representing the constituency after being suspended from the party.
He now says the death of his successor, Joshua Moyo, has rekindled the people's hopes for 'real' leadership.
Moyo died at Masvingo General Hospital a few weeks ago after a long illness.
He had won the seat uncontested but only managed to go to Parliament less than four times in several months due to poor health.
Bhasikiti says the people of Mwenezi were robbed of representation as a result of Zanu PF misdemeanours.
"Look these people are not stupid, they know that Zanu PF was playing some tricks with the ultimate goal of denying the people of Mwenezi some fair and real leadership. Throughout this term, the people of Mwenezi were being ridiculed and denied representation.
"When I was recalled from Parliament, I stood aside as I wanted to see what Zanu PF was going to do.…only to observe them mocking the people of Mwenezi. If a by-election is announced, I will be ready to contest," Bhasikiti said.
Unlike in Bikita West where Zim PF fielded Kudakwashe Gopo, a novice who had hitherto never ran for elected political office, Bhasikiti said Mwenezi will have a different story.
"I was recalled before I could do anything…. I have unfinished business in Mwenezi and this is the time to stand for my people. I will not allow Zanu PF to mock them again …not this time," added Bhasikiti.news
