- Albert Ndlovu of House number 1318, Nehosho, was recently brought before Magistrate Musaiona Shotgame for wearing a pair of camouflage shorts, a violation of section 32(2) of the Criminal Law Codification and Reform Act Chapter 9:23 which makes it illegal for non-military persons to wear or possess such clothing without authorisation.
Appearing for the State, Pius Muringani told the court that on January 16, 2017, at 22:20 hrs soldiers patrolling in the CBD saw Ndlovu wearing a pair camouflage shorts.
A member of the Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA), Samson Ruswava filed a police report leading to the arrest of Ndlovu.
Ndlovu pleaded guilty and was sentenced three months in prison wholly suspended on condition that he pays the fine with the clerk of court in Gweru. The pair of camouflage shorts was forfeited to the State.local
