08 April 2017, Polling stations were largely quiet in the afternoon, after the early morning rush which saw voters at some polling stations forming queues while seated as they waited for their turn to cast their ballots.
Approximately 45 percent of the total numbers of voters had cast their votes by 15:00 hrs with female voters constituting the majority of voters by 16:00 hrs.
Polling stations at such places as Guramatunhu Primary School, Reformed Church in Zimbabwe (RCZ) Rutenga and Rutenga Primary School were very quiet by the time of writing.
Meanwhile the National Constitutional Assembly (NCA)'s Welcome Masuku has already conceded defeat, citing insurmountable odds hedged against the opposition.politics, topnews
