CHIREDZI
- Chiredzi District Schools Inspector (DSI) Petronella Nyangwe is claiming US$40 000 from her business partner Admire Magodhlo following a misunderstanding which cropped up over commission sharing, TellZim can reveal.
The civil court led by Magistrate Tafadzwa Mhlanga heard that sometime last year, Nyangwe of 2 Chache River Triangle, got into an EcoCash deal with Magodhlo and deposited capital of $12 500 into his business.
It is alleged that after an agreeable period, Magodhlo then failed to pay the agreed amount to Nyangwe, forcing her to drag him to court. In his defence Magodhlo, who is a former member of Airforce of Zimbabwe and a seasoned police officer, said he paid the agreeable amount in full to Nyangwe but the misunderstanding cropped up after Nyangwe realised that Magodhlo was getting more commission.
In his defence, Magodhlo also said that Nyangwe was jealousy that Magodhlo was making more profit from the business which motivated her to sue him.
Magodhlo, who was represented by Tsatsawani Ndava of Mangwana Associates, said Nyangwe was lying to the court and he only received $12 500 from Nyangwe which he indeed paid up over an agreeable period.
Nyangwe, who was represented by Ross Chavi of Magwaliba and Associates dismissed Magodhlo's representations saying they were fabricated lies.
The civil court postponed the case to a later date for continuation of trial.local
