Zimuto baseball team
MASVINGO – Zimuto High School will be representing the province in the much-anticipated national baseball championship trophy to be held in Harare next month.
The school sailed through to the nationals after coming out first at the just-ended provincial competitions held at Victoria High School.
Other schools that took part in the provincials include Mucheke, Dewure, Rufaro, Gokomere, Mutendi and Masvingo Christian College.
Zimuto team coach Nyengeterai Musada said she was confident that the team will bring the trophy home.
"I am pleased by winning the right to represent the province at national level. We have been working tirelessly to get to this level and it is a well-deserved win. I am proud of my team for the job well-done.
"I am very confident that we will bring the trophy home. We are doing everything in as much as training is concerned to ensure that we outclass other teams. Masvingo has always produced strong baseball teams that win at national level and we want to continue with that trend," Musada said.
The coach identified Sakubva High I in Mutareas their possible biggest competitor but said they were prepared to fight for the glory of their school and the province.sport,education
